About the Artist

Anne Maree Higgins has been writing, recording and performing her songs for over 15 years. She gained a degree in Theology and Philosophy (hons) in 1999 and went on to work in both parish and diocesan ministry for over 10 years. She performed for two years at Star City in a cover’s band and has been published by Willow Publishing on the As One Voice-New Generation CD. She is a certified Speech Level Singing teacher and now spends her time teaching vocals and recording original works for church contexts and secular markets. As well as being a busy mum, she also enjoys running workshops in music and theology for parish and faith communities across the country.

Mass for Living

I hope this new music inspires you to serve your community in creative and exciting ways. It is often a challenge to use uplifting music for the more ‘ritual’ sides to the mass so I hope this helps to enhance the mass and encourage the congregation to sing and participate more fully, actively and to stay engaged in prayer. 

This CD has been in the making for a few years now because we have been juggling house renovations, babies, new careers and study – just life in general. So I feel privileged to finally be able to present this CD as my offering to the church and beyond. 

Thank you to Bernie, babies Teresa, Sarah, Peter, Mum and Dad, Jen, Lou and Derryn for helping me to keep the fire burning for this project. Also to my whole family (but too numerous to name!) and my fantastic friends and past work colleagues for your gentle encouragement and excitement for this CD. Lastly, to Glenn, for your incredible talent, friendship and persistence on all the arrangements and production.
